Bio
Born in Modena in 1967, Andrea holds a degree in economics and commerce from the University of Modena, is a chartered accountant and enrolled in the Register of Auditors held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
He started his career at Axis in 1992, where he mainly worked on statutory audits for statutory and consolidated financial statements of holding companies, international groups and listed companies, with both Italian and international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS), in the mechanical engineering, mining, real estate, fashion and luxury goods, transport and rental services, and health and wellness sectors.
Andrea has also held important positions in due diligence projects, M&A, IAS/IFRS implementation, and analysis and evaluation of management control reporting.
A partner of Axis since 1997, previously responsible for quality, he is currently in charge of development and international relations.
From 2008 to 2014, Andrea was a member:
- of the Auditing & Assurance Policy Group of the FEE (Féderation des Experts Comptables Européens, now Accountancy Europe) as technical advisor appointed by the Consiglio Nazionale dei Dottori Commercialisti e degli Esperti Contabili (CNDCEC);
- of the FEE Commission for the revision and implementation of the Clarified International Standards on Auditing (ISA) in the European Union.
From 2008 to 2012, he was a member of the CNDCEC task force for the revision of the English version and scientific supervision of the Italian translation of the IFAC guides “Quality Control in Small and Medium-Sized Professional Firms” and “Use of International Auditing Standards in the Auditing of Small and Medium-Sized Firms”.
A speaker at various conferences on accounting and auditing standards, professional development opportunities and international networks, he is the author and co-author of several articles on new international auditing standards for the magazine “Il Revisore Legale” published by Il Sole 24 Ore.
